Dr Antony Maddison (Male)

Leicester 1991
Dr Maddison is the senior partner here at Banbury Road Medical Centre.

He works Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and also runs a clinic at St Hilda’s College once a week.

He has special interests in occupational health, minor surgeries, joint injections and men’s health.

Dr Stephen Jones (Male)

Dr Jones is a partner at the practice and joined us in January 2021.

He works at the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Dr Jones has a special interest in men’s health, dermatology, endocrinology, student health and orthopaedics. 

Dr Tom Hutchinson (Male)

Dr Hutchinson is a partner here at the practice since January 2022.

He enjoys seeing a wide variety of patients and is the College GP for LMH.

Dr Hutchinson is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. 

Dr Fiona Boyle (Female)

Dr Boyle enjoys seeing a range conditions in General Practice and is also involved in teaching Oxford University medical students.

Dr Boyle is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays mornings during term times at the practice.

Dr Emma Walker (Female)

Dr Walker joined the practice in April 2018 and enjoys seeing a wide range of conditions.

She has an interest in contraception and fits and removes contraceptive implants at the surgery.

Dr Walker is available all day Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 

Dr Cathy Aylward (Female)

Dr Aylward enjoys seeing a full range of patients within general practice and is also involved with the teaching of medical students at Oxford University.

She is College GP for Jesus College and runs a weekly clinic at College during term-time.

Dr Aylward is available at the practice on Thursdays and Fridays.

Dr David-West is a locum GP who works with us to provide cover when our usual doctors are away

Nursing Team

Carol Bird (Female)

Carol is one of our practice nurses here at Banbury Road Medical Centre.

You will be able to see Carol for a number of appointments including; 
– Wound care: dressings, removal of stitches
– Routine immunisations and injections for treatment
– Childhood Vaccinations
– Travel advice and immunisations for foreign travel
– Cervical cytology (smear tests)
– Health checks (for new patients, or regular checks for those over 40 years old)
– Routine reviews of chronic conditions such as Diabetes, Asthma, Blood Pressure, COPD
– Tests such as ECGs, Spirometry
– Blood Tests 

Lauren Doran (Female)

Lauren is currently on maternity leave.

Lauren is one of our practice nurses here at Banbury Road Medical Centre.

You will be able to see Lauren for a number of appointments including; 
– Wound care: dressings, removal of stitches

Healthcare Team

Community Midwives

The Community Midwives work in the practice caring for women throughout their pregnancies from 8 weeks onwards. If you have a history of problems in pregnancy or labour, care will be shared with the hospital team. Joanna Bouzidi is our designated midwife who runs clinics at the Practice every Wednesday. District Nurses

District Nurses provide nursing care and support in the community for housebound patients in their own homes. They offer a broad nursing service specialising in areas of palliative care, wound care and management of continence. The daytime service is available between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm. Health Visitors

Health Visitors are qualified nurses with special training in child health, health promotion and education. They work predominantly with children and families. Child Health Clinics are held at South Parade Clinic (next to the library) on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10.00 am – 2.00 pm. The clinics are for well children and babies and are run by Health Visitors who can advise on all aspects of child health. Please click here for contact details
